After Daniel Silk had already contributed ‚Facemelt‘ to the ‚Message From the Parazone‘ album we now are very happy to welcome Worldwide Epidemic to Parallax with a full artist EP!

The opener 'Portamental' is based on a rough idea Dan had already in 2015 and was in a bunch of sketches he sent us. From the intro pads you know this is something special and made us straight fall in love with it. Dan delivers a Jungle Techno track that is well...very Techno, even Trancey in its appearance. It transports a melancholy and reminds us of misty early mornings in the hazy 90ies after a long night out raving, just when the day slowly settles and the first sun rays touch your face. A great tune to start your day (or set) with and definitely one for the headphones crew! Once heard it won´t leave your mind, a track with a lot of character that is close to Dan´s heart, so we are proud he let us have it.

'Tekfunk' nearly made the Parazone album instead of ‚Facemelt‘ and comes from the same moment in time. Pumping kicks underneath rattling breaks set the order of this Jungle Techno stomper in true Basement/ Jack Smooth fashion. Characteristic rolling kicks, cold stabs, airy pads, and acidlines make sure the floor is kept at peak level.

'There's No Way Back' now that you reached the flipside. Dan wrote this, especially for Parallax and absolutely takes no prisoners here. This is proper barefoot 'free rave' vibes, dreadlocked zombies shake their tired limbs in awe when this monster unleashes and sucks you straight into acid hell. What a trip!

'Metamorphosis' is another one Dan wrote especially for Parallax. The briefing was clear: Since the other three tracks are all Jungle Techno, we wanted to show another side of Worldwide Epidemic that we know he´s well capable of. So we asked for an amen tune Bukem would´ve possibly drawn for in 93/94, think of dark and mystic tunes like Chalke's Demon Resurrection. We love the image the track evokes, creeping and crawling insects and animals in the underwoods of a dark forest at full moon. From the glowing otherworldly feel to the rolling breaks and warm sub-bass, this tune delivers. Wait for the bleepy break switch two-thirds into the tune, we love it!

Watch out for more goodness forthcoming on the sequel to the Parazone album!
